Milk Bukkake Udon

  • 1. Mix milk and mentsuyu to make udon noodle soup.

  • 2. Place the frozen udon noodles on a heat-resistant dish and pour over the milk and mentsuyu.

  • 3. Cover lightly with a plastic wrap and heat in a microwave (600W) to defrost the udon noodles (as instructed on the package), plus an extra 2 minutes 30 seconds. Keep an eye on the noodles while heating.

  • 4. Crack the eggs into the noodle soup while still hot and sprinkle over hana-katsuo (dried bonito) and spring onions. Sprinkle with shichimi togarashi to taste.
